Help with On Demand set up please
Hi,
I originally setup SC with a 24 song playlist I created in its own folder.
I did not change the ini file except for the password, so it is at default.
I was able to connect via browsers and it plays well except it is not on demand. I have to have winamp playing constantly on my box by looping the 24 songs. This is a waste of resources and bandwidth I know. But it does give me a station that is listed in SC and anyone who connects, gets it..but..
I have now tried to make it on demand so it just starts up automatically when someone checks in and stops once they check out.
I have the On Demand Audio page printed out and I have tried to follow it, but I just can't get it to work.
I keep getting 'Invalid Resource' when I try getting in via the browser.
I do put in the correct address with /content/and my folder name.pls
On my broadcast box winamp...
I have a folder PlayList-Dec2004 as a sub under ./content/ I do have the slash trailing it.
I have 24 MP3's there as well as the original m3u file that works fine as a normal playlist.
I have my folder listed in the ini file in the Server Info section.
The DNAS server is'connected'and running.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks
Oz

Thanks for the reply..
Do you mean put my mp3's on a shared host?
What programs would ne used then to stream?
I read about Destiny's Pirate Radio using a script to ClipStream, is that what you mean?
I am very interestd to know the best and cheapest solution.
I have a box here that I have my files on at the moment and whist they play fine thru the browser to the IP:8000/Listen.pls I have to have it running all the time and figure that can't be the best way. maybe 4 listeners a day at fiorst and run it 24/7 seems a little crazy.
