Database Error: 145

I'm a long-time user of this great software. (Thanks again, Jay!)

Recently, I began to receive an error in the status bar that reads: "Database Error: (Can't open file: 'rtb_logs.MYI'. (errno: 145))", presumably from the log service.

To the best of my knowledge, I haven't changed anything on my ...

Enhancement request: set content expir on generated web page

Thanks yet again for RTB. I love that little app! Can I ask for one small enhancement request for the next release? Can you add this to the web page generated by RTB (through default port 4000):

<meta http-equiv="expires" content="Thu, 02 Feb 1967 06:41:00 CST">

...or something equivalent? That'd ...

Okay. I'm on that. I just didn't know if everyone else wanted to have our conversation in their e-mail box. I'll go there from now on. BTW, my touch interval seems to have changed to 300 seconds. Is this part of your test, or a necessary change? That's messing with me a bit, as some of my songs aren ...

Crazy stuff, isn't it? I, too, suspect that it is because my relay is often down. Here's info from the only logs I have kept:

9/08 - 12:14am - rebooted, relay was down
9/08 - 03:40am - relay joins
9/08 - 07:36pm - relay drops
9/09 - 04:19am - relay joins
9/09 - 04:40pm - relay drops
9/10 - 06:05am ...

Socket problems?!

I have been encountering a problem for many weeks now and just this week I seem to have narrowed it down to (at least be related to) RTB.

First:
Hardware: 500 Mhz PIII, 640MB RAM
OS: Windows 2000 Server - Native-Mode Domain Controller
Software: RTB (duh), WinAmp, Shoutcast Server...

After ...

ISP DNS Caching spoils the solution

Oops. I forgot to post the final outcome of my situation, in case it helps others...

It turns out that ISP caching of DNS entries comes into play. So, I could not ever get the DNS2Go domain name to reliably return the current IP. It was still often out of date by many hours, defeating the purpose ...

Just in case anyone else is in this situation and tries this...

I had to disable Client-Side DNS caching in order to make sure the DNS2Go.com DNS name always resolves to the correct IP address:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q245437&

The default (at least in W2K) is to ...

Jay,

Thanks for changing the RTB response to let me know that it was a duplicate entry in my RTB list that was causing the server to show as "Not Online". I had the other entry to monitor the actual IP address of the server because while I was testing before, the relay went down...so there's no way ...

That's great! Then, we must be close to getting this working...

However, for me RTB says "Checking..." for 15-20 seconds on that server entry and then comes back with "Not Online". I have a 272up/640down DSL connection which is working fine. (I have been streaming to that relay for 3+ hours w/o an ...

How can I work around a relay with a dynamic IP?

I have one relay server with a dynamic IP. Unfortunately, at present, I have to edit the server entry in RTB every time that computer is rebooted in order to have accurate listener counts and in order for the listen.pls file that RTB generates to be up-to-date (allowing listeners to connect - the ...

Logging stopped for 1 hour when relay dropped

Jay,

First, once again...big thanks for a great tool! (Is there a distribution list we can sign up for that will notify us when new versions are released? It's a bummer to be notified only when it stops working...)

I noticed that the RTB tool stopped logging for almost exactly one hour this ...

How do you add live365 servers using beta tool?

Thanks for the new tool, Jay! I've certainly missed the SCDC.

The new beta tool indicates it supports live365 servers. As recommended by live365, I use the format http://www.live365.com/play/[station#] in my listen.pls file. I imported that file into the RTB beta tool, but it doesn't seem to ...
