now, what I have discovered.. is that when I'm running Steamcast on a relay.. it will "lose" its yp listing in Steamcast's listing (SHOUTcast listing still appears..)

(I figured that since I didn't have the compat or Linux libs.. that it wouldn't work..

"973" is "FreeBSD 4.x"

"971" and "972" I donno what they are they came from a third-party download and were not marked "os-specific" (I think they are the linux versions)

"970" is for Unix.. (I couldn't find a FreeBSD version)

I have been having issues with Steamcast, however, some, more than others, can be 'worked around"

But, there are a few I can't seem to correct..

1.. EXTREMELY high CPU use..

I have noticed an AVERAGE CPU use of 10 to 22% (thats "10 point" not "point 10") and the server admin has "clocked" me on ...

both mounts are technically "identical" except one's called "guest" and the other is called "warp-128"

the mounts are both on the same server and share the same port..

the idea here is I wanted to make a "controller's" mount.. which is thew main mount.. but when a controller isn't ...

I don't know simplecast..

but you CAN change the user name in Optocodec.. you have to toggle between the different modes untill the name field highlights.. there are 2 places you have to set this in.. but like Jay said, you should set "SourceIsSC=Yes" and then you don't need a user setting..

To change the username, simply edit the streamcast.conf file:

example:


AdminUser=TheAdminLogin <-- This cannot be a mount name

SourceUser=stream-1 <-- this is the streamname ...

I have looked into this situation as a possable cause...

I have "remmed out" the directory entries AND I have set PubServ=0 in the DSP..

The result was the same... when the stream interupts for ANY reason- including net burps, the mount WILL lose sync and then ...
