Would a slight delay after authorization and before logging help? I mean to allow the server to finish the authorization process and close that process before opening and completing the logging process then allowing a new authorization process to begin. All of that could be accomplished in less than ...

I killed that one with 10 winamps hammering on it with all logging turned on and no source. I could still use your utility to hammer the server with logging disabled and then add logging one by one to find the error.

Steamcast has remained stable all night with logging off. I'll try your latest upload locally today and see if I can get it to crash with logging turned on.

If you send me your hammer utility I can hammer it harder than it will ever get hammered in the real world.

Sounds good... Still up and running, but it hasn't been hammered hard yet.

After 75 minutes of no errors locally with no logging enabled, I uploaded it and started it. I'll see if it stays stable with no logging enabled.

I'll let you know how it is working after the server fills up and starts being hammered.

With no screen log, no file log and no source at about 78 per second it was stable for the 10 minute test.

Same setup with source added... at 78 per second it has stayed stable for about 10 minutes and counting.

I turned off the screen log and it did become more stable... at 52 per second it has lasted for the last 30 minutes. When I went to between 55 and 57 per second it crashed immediately.

I wouldn't think 2.8 is too slow, but I have dedicated 4 - 3.0 computers to hammering it. I had 6 instances of winamp on one machine I was up to 2 on the next machine and had 1 each on the other two. I do notice the more instances I had hammering, the more the hammering of each of the players slows ...

I just tried it and it seemed a bit more stable. I only got to 10 winamp players hammering it before it crashed. It took about 10 minutes.
